Andrew Ridgeley

Andrew Ridgeley is an English musician, best known as one-half of the pop duo Wham!, alongside George Michael. Born on January 26, 1963, in Windlesham, Surrey, Ridgeley's primary genre is pop, with influences from new wave and dance music. Wham! achieved significant commercial success in the 1980s with hits like "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go," "Last Christmas," and "Careless Whisper" (the latter co-written with Michael). The duo's energetic style and catchy melodies helped define the pop landscape of the era. After Wham! disbanded in 1986, Ridgeley had a brief solo career but did not achieve the same level of success. He later shifted focus to other ventures, including environmental activism and writing. Ridgeley's impact on music is largely tied to his role in Wham!, which played a crucial part in bringing pop music to a global audience. The duo is credited with influencing the boy band phenomenon
